April is Youth Month at MLFCU, and we’re excited to celebrate with a full month of fun, creativity, and chances to win. Be sure to explore our Youth Pages and other youth-specific offerings at the credit union!
We’ve planned activities for our youth to enjoy all month long, both in our lobby and through our website. From a coloring contest to guessing games, there’s something for every young visitor to look forward to.
If you open a youth account during the month of April, MLFCU will waive the fee to open it. You will just need to make the initial deposit of $5.00.
Pennie Penguin Coloring Contest
Creativity is also taking center stage this Youth Month with our Pennie Penguin Coloring Contest.
Children can print Pennie coloring sheets in the links below or pick one up in person. We’ll also have a coloring station set up in the lobby so kids can decorate their page while visiting.
Entries will be judged by MLFCU staff, and winners will be selected in the following age groups:
- Ages 0 to 3
- Ages 4 to 7
- Ages 8 to 12
Each age category winner will receive a $25 deposit to their savings.
Submission Details
- Entries will be accepted throughout the month of April
- Please include the child’s name, age, and contact number on the back
- Winners will be announced on May 1

Guess How Much Money Is in the Jar
MLFCU is also hosting a fun guessing contest for our teen-aged children.
Teen ages 13 to 17 are invited to guess how many items are in the jar. The teen who guesses closest to the actual amount will win a $25 deposit to their savings.
Contest Details
- Open to children ages 13 to 17
- Guesses will be collected throughout the month of April
- The winner will be announced on May 1
- In the event of a tie, a winner will be chosen through a random draw
- Standard contest rules apply
