We want to say “Thank You” for 50 great years!!

This year is the Credit Union’s 50th Anniversary and our growth and success throughout the last 50 years would not have been possible without the support of our communities. To show our gratitude, we will perform 50 random acts of kindness.

We will post our pictures of how we are paying it forward throughout the year. Check back regularly!

The St. Marys branch donated food to the Salvation Army and to CAPSEA. CAPSEA, Inc. is a domestic violence service near Ridgway, PA providing help for people dealing with domestic abuse. They collected enough food to make 4 meals.

The St. Marys main office recently collected gifts from staff and members. They were donated this week to Elk County Project Gifts for Kids. We all want to wish them Happy Holidays!
The Kane branch recently took coloring books, crayons, tissues and stickers to the morning and afternoon classes at Kane Community Preschool.
The Bradford Office is honoring our Veterans in the next week by handing out remembrance cards with small military figures attached. We are asking our members to take a soldier home and place it somewhere to remind them of the sacrifices that our men and women, past and present, have made for our country!
The Kane branch has donated cinch bags with tissues & notebooks included in them to Children’s Advocacy Center of McKean County. Anyone willing to donate to help families in need, please contact CACMC at 814-887-3354
The Kane Branch visited the animals at Paws Along the River in Warren and donated bags of cleaning supplies, treats and toys.
The Warren East office held a Blood Drive Sept. 18th from 1:00 to 4:00.
It was a great success! One More Life Saved.
The Bradford branch employees recently held a gently used clothing drive and donated all items to the Bradford YWCA.

The Warren East branch donated a Wine Basket to raffle off for the Paddle to Battle Kayak Poker/Fun Run to benefit Kim Tome.

The Port Allegany branch surprised their mail carrier and Loomis drivers with a token of appreciation.
The Kane branch donated to help a local Tupperware Consultant, Betsy Lupole reach her goal of providing classrooms with water bottles for any student in need. With the new Covid restriction, water fountains may not be accessible when school starts.
The Warren West Branch showed some furry friends some extra lovin’ this week. Employees and members donated money and/or brought in pet food and toys for the Grace United Methodist Church’s pet food pantry, located in Warren, PA
The Warren West Branch provided lunch to the Warren City Police Department. Lunch included a sub tray, homemade cookies, chips and a drink.
The St. Marys office showed our Troops some appreciation this week by sending them a tasty care package.
The Warren East Branch made up “Welcome Back” packets with Mountain Laurel items inside for their members as they are returning to the lobby again.
The Port Allegany Branch treated their Class of 2020 Seniors with having homemade cookies made especially for them to celebrate graduation! Good Luck Class of 2020!!!
The Port Allegany Branch donated several canned and boxed goods to their local food pantry.
The St. Marys showed some love to their furry friends at the Elk County Humane Society.
The Kane Branch showed thier appreciation to the Haberberger Disposal crew with gift certificates from Pepe’s and Kinzua Beverage. #supportsmallbusinesses #staysafe #bekind
MLFCU Warren West Branch surprised their essential service providers with goodie bags. The garbage men (2), the mailman, and the Loomis delivery men (2) were thankful for their treats!
The Port Allegany branch donated two huge bags of cat food to Buck McGarvey. Buck brings the Port Allegany ladies treats and fresh flowers from his gardens so they wanted to give back by donating food to help him take care of the stray cats in his area. He has them spayed and neutered and takes good care of them.
The Kane Branch surprised their newspaper deliverer, mail carrier and Matt from Paris Cleaning with a special appreciation treat. The staff gave them a thank-you card, Reese’s cups and lottery cards…all winners of course!!

The Bradford branch shared a Random Act of Kindness with their postal and package carriers this week to help brighten their day during these trying times.
Warren West Branch of Mountain Laurel started their 50 Acts of Kindness by partnering with the Sheffield Progressive Womens Club to pack goody bags for the residents of the Ruth M Smith Residential Care Center.
The Bradford Branch surprised their members with an Act of Kindness by celebrating Mardi gras on “Free Food Friday”. They served cupcakes, cookies and brownie tarts along with sucker bouquets and specially wrapped chocolate bars and kisses.
The Bradford branch gave a little love to their local SPCA. The kitties were playing with their new toys before they could get them out of the box!!!
The St. Marys branch sent 155 “Thinking of You” cards to Elk Haven Nursing Home for the residents there. The cards will spend a couple days in quarantine and hopefully will be delivered for Easter.

When Warren General Hospital asked for the public’s help in providing masks for the hospital, Ruth Ann from Warren West Branch, had an idea. She brought in her sewing machine and taught all the employees how to sew a mask. They all took turns helping and donated a bag of masks!!
